Why Dossena Is Still Useful To Liverpool FC

January 5, 2010 Leave a comment

Hands up those of you who are eager to see Dossena play more games and score more goals for the Reds.

Awwww, and now get ready to be disappointed because he will be of another use to us instead.

Sure £4.5 million may equates the cost of David Villa’s socks or Gareth Barry’s pair of socks, but neverthelesss, money is coming into Rafa Benitez’s, or RB’s coffers.

Thank you, Napoli, and yes thank you so much for bringing along that much needed boost to Red’s warchest.

Though it may sound a little cold, pun intended, to say such words of a decently good servant of the club and especially so during such hard times, it is actually not.

Let’s look on the bright side, where he’ll probably be spending less time on the bench and more time running around aimlessly up and down the flanks.

I’m pretty sure Napoli could use more of his enthusiasm for the game, and when you consider that Dossena is getting a considerable signing on fee, and a possible pay increase, you have to wonder who’s having the last laugh here.

Ever since losing Liverpool’s leftback berth to a young Argentinian, Emiliano Insua, and as eager as he is to occupy Napoli’s left fullback position, he’ll probably have to linger around Liverpool for a while more.

At least until the snow clears, then he’ll not be denied his move any further.

Oh well, if he can’t kick match-balls in the EPL regularly, at least there’s snowballs as a substitute.

Might as well play with some ice balls eh?
